edddison Tutorial edddison for SketchUp – Setup and first steps edddison is a visualization tool that allows non-technical users to easily develop and present real-time 3D applications. Install SketchUp Install Trimble SketchUp 7, 8, 2013 or 2014 on your PC running Windows 7, 8, or 8.1. 2. Install edddison Install edddison on your computer. Follow the installation wizard until the end. You might need to restart your computer at the end of the installation process. 3. Open Warehouse the Extension Open the Extension Warehouse by clicking Window > Extension Warehouse. Note: To download extensions from the Extension Warehouse, you have to sign in with a Google account. If you don‘t have a Google account yet, you can create one in the warehouse. Install plug-in When asked if you really want to install this extension, click yes. edddison will now be installed in SketchUp and can be used immediately. Note: If you can‘t find the edddison toolbar immediately, it might be behind the warehouse window. 6. Download demo project To see how edddison works, it‘s the easiest to use one of our demo projects. There are a few projects to be found on our webpage edddison.com/downloads-demo. Start edddison Start edddison by clicking the red icon. Note: edddison has to be started always with the SketchUp extension, there will not be a shortcut on your desktop. 8. Add license key To start edddison you have to add your license key. Use the load license file key if you have got an edddison license file. 9. Import demo project Import the edddison demo project that you got from our webpage (edddison.com/download-demo) using the Import project button. Use the edddison editor to directly control your 3D software Now edddison is ready for use. Start a walk through by moving the red point of view symbol with the mouse. Use the mouse wheel to rotate your point of view.
