Latinos
Juan, Sara y Samuel, 15 años, huyen de Guatemala para intentar
llegar a Estados Unidos. Durante su paso por México, conocen a
Chauk, un indígena tzotzil que no habla español y viaja sin
papeles. Los adolescentes aspiran a un mundo mejor más allá de
las fronteras mexicanas, pero muy pronto van a enfrentarse a una
realidad muy distinta.
Juan, Sara and Samuel, all 15 years old, flee from Guatemala towards
the USA. On their journey through Mexico they meet Chauk, a Tzotzil
indian who does not speak Spanish and has no official documents.
They all believe they will find a better world beyond the USA-Mexico
border but they run into a harsh reality.
(Français) Juan, Sara et Samuel, 15 ans, fuient le Guatemala pour
tenter de rejoindre les Etats Unis. Au cours de leur traversée du
Mexique, ils rencontrent Chauk, un indien tzotzil ne parlant pas
espagnol et voyageant sans papiers.. Les adolescents aspirent à un
monde meilleur au-delà des frontières mexicaines mais très vite, ils
vont devoir affronter une toute autre réalité.

En 1940, España sufría una durísima postguerra y Europa estaba
en plena Segunda Guerra Mundial. El Servicio de Inteligencia
Británico escogió el paso fronterizo de la estación internacional
de Canfranc (Huesca) para recopilar e intercambiar informaciones
cruciales para la contienda bélica. De este modo montó una red
de espías formada por vascos, aragoneses y franceses que
informaron acerca de los movimientos de las tropas alemanas y el
paso de mercancías (el oro requisado por los nazis) que entraban
y salían de España. Establecieron una conexión semanal entre
Canfranc, Zaragoza y San Sebastián para llevar los mensajes al
consulado inglés de la capital donostiarra que cada lunes, los
remitía por valija diplomática a Madrid. Gracias a las
informaciones de esta red de espías se ayudó a la derrota de los
nazis y su expulsión de los terrenos ocupados. Estos
acontecimientos históricos se entrelazan con los testimonios de
los familiares de los hasta ahora anónimos espías. Y se realizan
una serie de secuencias dramatizadas, siempre fieles a los
acontecimientos descubiertos por el escritor. En especial a lo
relacionado con la desarticulación de dichas redes de espionaje.
Y el juicio y sentencia que acabó con el encarcelamiento de 30
espías condenados por un Tribunal Especial contra el Espionajes
en 1943.

In 1941, the World is immersed in the II World War, and Spain suffers a
severe postwar. In this context, the British Consulate in San Sebastian

hosts a spy network formed by Basque, Aragonese and French
reporting on German troop movements and the passage of goods.
Established a weekly connection between Canfranc, Zaragoza and San
Sebastian. Using information from this network of spies helped defeat
Nazi Germany. The spies involved in the events explain us their
history.

Justin vive en un reino gobernado por burócratas donde los
caballeros han sido desterrados. Su mayor sueño es llegar a ser
uno de los "Caballeros del Valor”, como lo fue su abuelo, pero su
padre Reginald, consejero de la Reina, quiere que su hijo siga sus
pasos y se convierta en abogado. Después de una inspiradora
visita a su querida abuela y de despedirse de Lara, su amor
platónico, Justin escapa en pos de su sueño. Por el camino
conoce a la guapa y luchadora Talía, al excéntrico mago con
trastornos de personalidad, Melquiades, al apuesto y caradura Sir
Clorex y es entrenado por tres sabios monjes: Blucher, Legantir y
Braulio, que le instruirán en las enseñanza de los viejos
caballeros y le pondrán a prueba. A pesar de no ser el mejor
candidato para ser caballero, Justin tendrá que probarse así
mismo cuando el malvado Sir Heraclio y sus acólitos, liderados
por Sota, regresen amenazando con destruir el Reino.
Justin lives in a kingdom where bureaucrats rule and knights have
been ousted. His dream is to be become one of the Knights of Valour,
like his grandfather was, but his father Reginald, the chief counsel to
the Queen, wants his son to follow in his footsteps and become a
lawyer. After an inspiring visit to his beloved Grandmother and bidding
farewell to his supposed lady-love Lara, Justin leaves home and

embarks on a quest to become a knight. Along the way he meets the
beautiful, feisty Talia, a quirky wizard called Melquiades, the handsome
Sir Clorex and is mentored by three monks; Blucher, Legantir and
Braulio, who teach and test him in the ancient ways of the Knights of
Valour. Whilst an unlikely candidate for knighthood, Justin must rise to
the challenge quickly when banished former knight Sir Heraclio and his
army, lead by Sota, return and threaten to destroy the Kingdom.

El documental surge de la necesidad de su autor, Martí Sans, de
explicarse porqué durante 50 años lo había ignorado casi todo
sobre una tradición que es parte de nuestro legado cultural y
genético. La inmersión en la pequeña comunidad judía de
Barcelona le forzó a replantearse sus propios prejuicios.
The Stigma? is born out of the personal need of his author, Martí Sans,
the need to explain himself why during 50 years he had ignored almost
everything about a tradition that is part of our cultural and genetic
legacy. The immersion in the little Jewish community in Barcelona
forced him to reconsider his own prejudice.

Entre la realidad y la ficción una serie de personajes se mueven al
vaivén del latir de la ciudad. Cada uno transita alrededor de su
propio espacio personal, empujados por la inercia de su propio
bucle. Algunos de ellos existían antes y seguirán existiendo
después del filme. Otros permanecerán inmersos en la sinfonía
urbana de la nada cotidiana.
Between reality and fiction a series of characters moves, drifting with
the toings and froings of the city. Each of these characters moves
around their own personal space, driven by the inertia of their own
vicious circle. Some of them existed before and will continue to exist
after the film. Others will remain immersed in the urban symphony of
everyday nothingness.

En la estación de tren de Calcuta, una pareja de leprosos intenta
sobrevivir mendigando mientras sus hijas reciben una magnífica
educación en un colegio de Calcuta fundado y dirigido por un
comerciante inglés. Wohab, un ex guerrillero maoísta, promueve y
gestiona una red de barcos hospitales que socorren las
poblaciones más desamparadas del delta del Ganges. En cambio
al suizo Gastón solo le interesa recuperar a los seres humanos
sin ninguna esperanza, ya sean enfermos mentales, minusválidos
o ancianos abandonados, para que puedan encarar la vida con
una sonrisa. Y para que todos estos héroes anónimos puedan
desempeñar su acción humanitaria, el escritor francés Dominique
Lapierre, autor de la ciudad de la alegría, mantiene una lucha sin
cuartel para aliviar la miseria y la injusticia de esa región del
mundo.
At Calcutta train station a leper couple endeavours to survive begging
while their daughters receive a magnificent education at a Calcutta
school founded and directed by an English trader. Wohab, an exguerrilla Maoist, promotes and manages a network of hospital ships
that help the most destitute populations in the Ganges delta. However,
the Swiss Gaston is solely interested in recovering human beings
without hope, whether mentally ill, handicapped or abandoned senior
citizens, so they can face life with a smile. And so all these anonymous
heroes can carry out their humanitarian action, the French writer
Dominique Lapierre, author of The City of Joy, battles untiringly to

comprometidas que participaron en la conquista de los derechos
de las mujeres y en la modernización de la educación, basada en
los principios de la escuela pública y democrática. Este
documental a través de la recreación de una maestra de la época,
e imágenes de archivo inéditas, nos descubre el maravilloso
legado que nos han dejado las maestras republicanas y que ha
llegado hasta nuestros días. Articulado en base a testimonios de
investigadores y familiares, vamos a conocer el momento
histórico que vivieron estas docentes y su participación en la
transformación social de nuestro país a través de la educación.
The republican female teachers were a group of women who
participated in the conquest of women rights and the modernization of
education, based on the principles of democratic public schooling. This
documentary, through the depiction of the life of a teacher of the time,
and unreleased archive images, shows us the legacy given to us by the
republican teachers that continues to this day.

está rodada entre España y Austria, los dos lugares en los que
vive el director como ejemplo de la universalidad del problema.

Lali es guineana. Vino a España porque un marinero le contó que
en nuestro país las manzanas eran grandes como balones y unos
pollos gigantescos corrían por la Gran Vía. Lali es una de las
mujeres que nos muestran su realidad y sus sentimientos más
íntimos; su proyecto vital, sus esperanzas y quimera sen este
documental que rompe tópicos y por primera vez da voz y rostro a
un grupo de mujeres olvidado e invisibilizado en la sociedad
española: las negras africanas.
Lali is Guinean. She came to Spain because a sailor told her that in our
country the apples were as big as balloons and giant chickens ran up
and down the Gran Via. Lali is one of the women who show us their
real situation and their inner most feelings, her life’s projects, hopes
and chimeras in this documentary thatbreaks down stereotypes and for
the first time gives a voice and a face to a forgotten, invisible group of
women in Spanish society: black Africans.

Toni es un violento chico de barrio que, una noche, agrede a una
chica marroquí, delante de un cajero. Las cámaras de seguridad
lo filman todo y es condenado a horas de trabajo comunitario. Se
le asigna trabajar con la ONG “Marhaba” que decide llevárselo
con ellos al sur de Marruecos, dónde preparan un viaje para dar a
conocer la forma de vivir de los pequeños pueblos del desierto.
Todo el viaje quedará filmado por los responsables de la ONG.
Toni is a violent boy of city’s outskirts. One night, assaulted a
Moroccan girl, in an ATM. Security cameras film edit all and he’s
sentenced to community work. Toni is forced to work with the NGO
"Marhaba" who decides to take him with them in southern Morocco.
They’re preparing a trip to publicize the lifestyle of desert’s small towns.
The whole trip will be filmed by the NGO’s team.

Una madre biológica, Sara, y una madre de acogida, Virginia,
comparten a una niña de 9 años, Claire. A consecuencia de sus
problemas con el alcohol y las drogas, la justicia le retiró a Sara la
custodia de su hija cuando tenía cuatro años. La niña fue dada en
acogida a Virginia y Alberto a los que Claire considera sus padres
desde entonces. Todo cambia cuando, cinco años después, un
juez decide devolver la niña a Sara, que ha logrado rehacer su
vida y tiene un trabajo estable. La noticia cae como un jarro de
agua fría en la vida de Virginia y Alberto que tienen que entregar a
la niña. Aprovechando que es verano, Sara y Claire emprenden un
viaje hacia Marsella en busca del padre biológico, al que Sara no
ha vuelto a ver desde que se quedó embarazada. Con muy pocas
pistas y mucho camino por delante, aprovecharán esta aventura
para conocerse mejor y recuperar el tiempo perdido. Pero las
dificultades comienzan cuando Virginia consigue sumarse a la
travesía y las dos madres inician una emotiva y a la vez
despiadada pugna por la hija que comparten.
Sara -a biological mother- and Virginia -a foster mother- share a 9-year
old daughter, Claire. When the girl was just four, Sara lost her custody
because of her problems with alcohol and drugs. Instead she went to
live with Virginia and Alberto, her foster parents whom she considered
her true family since then. Five years later, everything changes when a
judge decides to return the girl to Sara, after she manages to straighten
her life and find a stable job. Taking advantage of the summer holidays,

Sara and Claire travel to Marseille in search of the biological father,
whom Sara has not seen since she became pregnant. They have very
few clues and a long journey ahead, and they must also get to know
each other after so many years apart. The problems start when Virginia
manages to join them and both mothers begin an emotional and
ruthless struggle for the daughter they both share.

A group of people with different disabilities come to participate in its

En 1960, un médico alemán conoce a una familia argentina en una
desolada región de la Patagonia y se suma a ellos, en caravana,
por la ruta del desierto. Esta familia revive en él todas las
obsesiones relacionadas con la pureza y la perfección. En
especial Lilith, una adolescente con un cuerpo demasiado
pequeño para su edad. Desconociendo la verdadera identidad del
alemán, al llegar a Bariloche, Enzo y Eva lo aceptan como primer
huésped de la hostería que poseen, a orillas del lago Nahuel
Huapi. Aunque el extraño personaje les genera a los anfitriones
cierto recelo, progresivamente se verán seducidos por sus
modos, su distinción, su saber científico y sus ofertas de dinero…
hasta que descubren que están viviendo con uno de los
criminales más grandes de la historia.
Patagonia, 1960. A German physician meets an Argentinean family
and follows them on the long desert road to Bariloche where Eva, Enzo
and their three children are going to open a lodging house by the
Nahuel Huapi lake. This model family reawakens his obsession with
purity and perfection, in particular Lilith, a 12 year-old with a body too
small for her age. Unaware of his true identity, they accept him as their
first guest. They are all gradually won over by this charismatic man, by
his elegant manners, his scientific knowledge and his money, until they
discover they are living with one of the biggest criminals of all times.

España, Septiembre de 1936. Rosa y su hermano Matías viven en
una humilde casa en el monte junto a su padre, Paco. Rosa
trabaja en un taller de costura, y Paco y Matías en un olivar. Su
vida trascurre dentro de la normalidad a pesar la guerra, mientras
Julián, el hermano de Paco, bebedor y conflictivo, acosa a la
familia con la intención de apropiarse de su casa. Cuando los
falangistas entren en el pueblo, Julián aprovechará su presencia
para conseguir su objetivo, con nefastas consecuencias para
todos.
Spain, September 1936. Rosa and her brother Matías live in a humble
house on the mountain with their father, Paco. Rosa works in a sewing
workshop, and Paco and Matías in an olive grove. Their life is normal,
despite the war, although Julián, Paco's brother, a drinker and a
troublemaker, is harassing thefamily in order to get their house for
himself. When the Falangists enter the town, Julián will use their
presence to obtain his objective, with disastrous consequences for
everyone.

El Sabio, a sus 90 años, es un periodista local de un remoto
pueblo de México que nunca ha tenido una relación con una
mujer sin tener que pagar por sus servicios. Con motivo de su
noventa cumpleaños, llama a la madame de un burdel que
frecuenta para regalarse una noche con una virgen de 14 años. En
su encuentro, El Sabio observa con ternura como duerme la
muchacha y se siente incapaz de despertarla. El anciano se ha
enamorado.
El Sabio, an old critic at a Caribbean newspaper, has spent all his life
as a bachelor. As a child he idolized his mother to such a degree that
after her death he could never attach himself seriously to any other
woman. At twelve he, by mistake, paid his first visit to a brothel, an act
frequently repeated throughout his lifetime. On the eve of his 90th
birthday he decides to give himself "a night of mad love with a young
virgin". An encounter with an innocent young girl is set up by the
madam of a brothel which he used to visit when younger. Before he
gets 91 he goes through an emotional drama that includes love, hate,
jealousy, murder and disappointments enough to be the death of
people younger than el Sabio.

Conocimos a las hermanas Arrieta en el verano de 2009, y
enseguida nos vimos atrapados por su historia: dos hermanas
que, a pesar de todas las dificultades que les imponía su cuerpo,
estaban decididas a comunicarse. Aunque para ello tuvieran que
inventarse de la nada todo un sistema de comunicación. Y aunque
ese idioma, al que llamaban “El método Arrieta”, se hablara
forzosamente por los ojos. Después vino el tiempo de conocerlas,
de observar su vida diaria. Y nos sorprendió comprobar que a
pesar de su invención comunicativa, las personas de su entorno
preferían comunicarse con ellas a través de otros sistemas,
prácticamente no tenían en cuenta su método. Pero pensamos
que esto convertía la historia en ‘más épica’ y hacía más estrecho,
más fuerte el vínculo que unía a las dos hermanas. Eran, además
de creadoras de un método comunicativo, prácticamente sus
únicas dos hablantes en todo el mundo. La fuerza de la
comunicación. Su capacidad de transformarlo todo, aunque sólo
sea válido para dos hablantes. Esa es la idea sobre la que pivota
“El método Arrieta”.
Since the first time we met the Arrieta sisters –it was summer of 2009we felt really attracted by their story: two sisters that, in spite of being
seriously limited by their physical conditions, were determined to be
able to communicate. And they did it. They created and developed a
whole communication system using one part of their body that was
totally alright: their eyes. Afterwards came the time to know them, to

observe their daily lives. And we were surprised that despite their
communicative invention, the people around them preferred to
communicate with them through other systems. They almost ignore the
method. But we think this made the story 'more epic' and at the same
time made stronger the bond that united the two sisters. They were the
creators and the only two speakers of the method in worldwide. The
strength of communication. Its ability to transform everything, if only is
valid for two speakers. That is the main, the source idea of "Arrieta
Method".

Una historia nada convencional contada en forma arriesgada
mezclando animación Manga con rodaje en vivo. Cuando Ana,
una funcionaria estatal, descubre que la policía argentina está
controlada por la mafia china, lucha para revelar la verdad. Con su
vida en riesgo, escapa de la ciudad y termina en el campo,
abandonado e infestado de unos conejos que han sido
genéticamente alterados y se han vuelto carnívoros. Lo que

Ana, a beautiful young woman of Chinese origin who works as a
municipal inspector in Buenos Aires, accidentally becomes involved in
the local Chinese mafia. When they threaten her she flees to
Argentina's Pampas region, invaded by mutant carnivorous bunnies.
When Ana, a civil servant, discovers that the Argentinian police force is
controlled by the Chinese mafia, she fights to reveal the truth. With her
life at risk, she flees the city and ends up in the countryside,
abandoned and infested by rabbits that have been genetically modified
and are now carniverous. What she finds there could help her to topple
the mafia. If she gets out alive that is...

Is a psychological drama, thriller avant-garde that tackles the
tribulations of Julian (Juan Pinzás) a Spanish filmmaker who comes to

American actress Jennifer (Lindsey Ireland) to star in the film. Suddenly
something strange happens to the filmmaker who is caught in the story

Wayuu, la niña de Maracaibo, es una historia de amor prohibido
entre Gamero, el Rey de los Guajiros y Chiquinquirá “la niña de
Maracaibo”, quienes contraviniendo la cultura wayuú -al ser él un
wayú y ella una alijuna- deciden vivir su aventura pasional, a
riesgo de su propia vida. Para proteger la vida de Chiquinquirá,
Gamero contrata a Alatriste, un detective vasco con un pasado
que lo atormenta.
A detective, goes from Spain to the Venezuelan Guajira, hired by the
king of Wuayuus, to protect her, Niña de Maracaibo (wife of King, who
belongs to an aristocratic family in the city) the detective tries to
discover a conspiracy greater than initially imagined. Where he is only
one piece in a plot which mixes smuggling, power struggles and tribal
magic. The clash of two opposite visions, the 'Western' Spanish
researcher, and the 'native' the Wuayuu original owners of Caribbean,
converts this format film apparently 'police' in a thesis film revealing the
mystery of the still existing singular South American identity.

them to contemplate living life to its fullest, despite the distance

Tiempo va causando efecto en las energías y en la salud de

Melancholy and humour characterise this tale of anaging doctor who,
for over forty years, has been devotedly tending a bizarre “domestic
grave” containing his beloved wife. When she died young, Alfredo had
her body cryogenically frozen, convinced that progress in medical
science would one day be able to bring her back to life.

Nuevo episodio de las peripecias del "enfant sauvage" Gaspar
Hauser, acompañado de su inseparable y bienquerido caballito de
madera. Sujeto imposible, Gaspar tiene en esta ocasión la
personalidad fragmentada en cinco personajes arquetípicos: un
enano sadomasoquista, una seductora doncella, un tipo cínico y
déspota, un marinero romántico y un batman patético, encarnado
este último por el propio director de la película. Un antihéroe de
bata y zapatillas, fumador compulsivo, reflejo de la inadaptación
en la que está inmiscuido el hombre decepcionado, el hombre que
piensa, el hombre que es de este mundo sin serlo.
Here is a new episode of the adventures of the enfant sauvage Gaspar
Hauser together with his inseparable and loved wooden horse. On this
occasion Gaspar, an untenable subject, possesses the personality of
five archetypical figures: a sadomasochist dwarf, a seductive maiden, a
cynic and despotic fellow, a romantic sailor and a pathetic batman that,
in this movie, is played by the director himself. This is a portrait of an
antihero dressed in robe and slippers, a compulsive smoker, a true
image of the maladjustments that so well depict the state of a
disappointed humanity, one that is given to thinking, one that belongs
to this world, but, yet, it never does so.

Un prestigioso periodista gastronómico acepta el encargo de una
editora independiente para que escriba un reportaje sobre la
reciente aparición de “Restaurantes Clandestinos”. Su
investigación le llevará a descubrir que uno de estos restaurantes
esconde un terrible secreto. Ayudado por una misteriosa mujer, el
periodista consigue acceder a este Restaurante Clandestino para
participar en una de sus cenas furtivas. Lo que empezó siendo
una rutinaria investigación periodística, acabará convirtiéndose
en una atroz pesadilla.
Marcos Vela, an influential culinary journalist, agrees to write an article
for an independent publisher on the recent emergence of clandestine
restaurants. While conducting his research, he meets Eva, a woman
with whom he will maintain an intense relationship. To help him with his
review, Eva introduces Marcos to the world of clandestine restaurants.
His investigation will lead him to discover that in one of these
restaurants, furtive gatherings take place where, in exchange for
tremendous amounts of money, people can experience a taste of
human flesh. Marcos convinces the independent publisher who hired
him to pay the price that will let him enter this strange world. Once in,
Marcos will find himself involved into some uncanny luxurious
cannibalism and will become a victim of the Organization, from which it
will be impossible to escape from.

Un rodaje de Otelo de Shakespeare. Un casting minucioso para
una adaptación intensa y arriesgada. Y un director dispuesto a
sacar el máximo de sus actores, sin escrúpulos morales, legales
ni sexuales. Toda una sabandija que con tal de mostrar pasiones,
intrigas y celos candentes en la pantalla se esforzará al máximo
para crearlos en la vida real, con pasmosas y cómicas
consecuencias. Sólo que la frontera entre los hechos y la
imaginación se desdibuja y los límites de la representación se
ponen en juego. Quizás la tramoya de este film de negrísimo
humor, rodado en tres días y con 15.000 euros de presupuesto,
nos deje ver más de lo que nunca hubiésemos imaginado.
Hammudi Al-Rahmoun Font recalls his first experience facing a cast of
actors, the feeling of power in front of the interpreter's fragility, and the
subsequent sadomasochist relationship that can be established
between both, as a key factor to conceiving Othello. The legacy of
Orson Welles, who already pursued this Shakespeare's to experiment
with hybrids forms (Filming Othello), is revived by Al-Rahmoun in a
self-reflective essay about porosities linking the reality and the fiction:
in this case it's an unscrupulous director able to manipulate his actors'
real life so the passions, intrigues and jealousy of his Othello
astoundingly look true in the screen. However, the aesthetical
achievements resulting from this dissolution of borders carry some
inevitable, severe consequences.
